Tradelyfe recently completed this little kitchen renovation in Newport. Our clients had plans to action off this little Newport home but felt the kitchen was lacking, Tradelyfe recommended maximising there bench space as well as incorporate a breakfast bench, overall effect was a bigger looking kitchen with more space. A challenging project. Tradelyfe took care of all the demolition work of the old kitchen, and installed new pine linning followed by kitchen installation and a lick of paint.
As you can see from the before and after images, Tradelyfe were able to make a massive difference to the aesthetics and feel of this kitchen. Good luck at auction day!
Winning a tender TradeLyfe was contracted out to build 4 pool side decks. Not your ordinary decking, these sturdy 120 x 45 dressed F22 seasoned hardwood decks could with stand anything! from the salt in the air to tracking heavy staff trollies.
Due to these decks being at a prestige 6 star resort, extra requirements had to be meet. With double dressed seasoned boards we had no reeds for air flow to prevent moister build up so we installed 'Protectadeck' which is a flexible PVC product that sits on top up the joist but under the boards to prevent decay from moister.
Fixed down with corrosion resident stainless steel bugle screws and being so close to salt water these seasoned boards have a 6% swelling and shrinking rate (hot/wet weather) so they required gaps of 7.2mm wide. Maximum you can do on a commercial site is 8.5mm any wider there might be a few high heels getting stuck!
Our client wanted to extend the decking and create a flat area in an unused unpractical space. TradeLyfe suggested to pull up the old decking and salvage whatever frame work we could, but why just have a flat area? Let put some bamboo tress in with flush plate LED lights along the wall and in the base of the bamboo tree, this looked amazing as a feature at night especially from inside the house with the white light shining up the tree, the bright green of the bamboo really was a head turner.
With a lot of glass windows in the house our client was sick of looking a his painted cypress pine fence and wanted a feature that would incorporate the merbue. Tradelyfe designed and build a feature wall that came up 2.4m high out of back marine ply (weather resistant) high not only for privacy when hosting guests but a black shadow lined feature in the middle that would break up the merbau. With white light shining up the wall on the shadow line and the green of the bamboo falling on the black feature it look truly amazing from the inside of the house at night.
Timber is back in! We straightened and lasered our ceiling battens to this old warehouse ceiling with steel rondo track. For a super flat timber finish. Why? Rondo ceiling track allows movement. if we fixed out sheeting straight to the old hard wood batons any movement would result in sheets popping, not something that you would in a pub or public place! That's bad for business.
We built a risen platform stage for the dj booth sounded by vertical 40 x 40 dressed merbue. Looked fantastic!
We build all the bathroom partitions out or black form ply and aluminium track. Why? Form ply is extremely durable and water proof, already black so no painting is needed, and being in a pub if its gets damaged its as easy as getting a sheet for your local hardware store and replacing it. No waiting for custom made panels from manufactures-
